A downloadable fangame for Windows, macOS, and Linux

DESCRIPTION:

"We fight. We survive. We endure.
We don't need a reason."

The critically acclaimed Final Fantasy XVI, reimagined and transformed into a SNES-style JRPG. This fangame of the free demo of FFXVI features new chiptune arrangements of 18 tracks from FFXVI's first chapter by xvibit, as well as a mix of modified SNES FF SFX and sprites, original pixel art, and tilesets by artists from the itch community.

Full credits for assets and plugins not created myself are found in-game.

This solo project was my first time developing a game! I hope my fellow FF fans enjoy the fruit of my labor as much as I enjoyed laboring over it :)

This is absolutely amazing. Are there any plans to continue beyond the demo/1st chapter?

If only Square would come up with the idea of Pixel Demasters like this. I'm sure many an older fan would appreciate them immensely.

Either way, this is fantastic work!

Android version please

I agree! This looks amazing. Touch controls and an apk would be even better!
